let me unravel an unforgettable experience of mine.
four years back, i was doing my first pdc at mar ivanios college,
nalanchira. a shriveling mind which i got after my school days had made
me a shrapnel. i had three intimate friends there. sheen, vishak 'n
subash. we except subash were much affiliated to movies that time.
rather it was the beginning of our exhilaration inside the theaters of
th'puram.
one day, our classes finished at mid-noon. me 'n sheen planned to go for
a movie, in spite of the few inadequate bucks we had. at last we decided
to go home 'n started walking thru the road leading to nalanchira.
half way passed, suddenly we noticed a person lying beside a tree 'n
taking respirations in an unusual way. we stopped 'n went near him. the
disrupted conversation with him revealed the following things.
he was an acute asthma patient, just got discharged from the med. col.
hospital. it was his elder brother who's working for a construction in
our campus, admitted him in the hospital. there were no one to sit near
him at the hospital. after the discharge, he decided to meet his
brother. but at the site he came to know that his brother had left home,
which is at marthandam, tamilnadu. the travel, piercing the sunlight,
has made his lungs over active, 'n also not even a single paisa left
with him to reach home.
we were in such a decision to help him, but aware of the lack of a
single penny with us. we stood there sometime. at that time parents of
children at sarvodaya came the way. they too halted around him. more
than feeling pity, they began to give money to him.
the ladies hostel was nearby. sisters with immaculate robes came out.
upon their words, we fetched that person suffocating to have his breath,
into the ladies hostel. they give him hot water 'n other first aids. he
was in a state of extreme stupefaction.
the sisters enquired about him. may it 'r not, knowing our willingness
to help him, a sister gave us 50 rs. 'n employed us to took him to the
central bus stand 'n have his bus be caught.
he was retrieving slowly.
after an hour, we hired an auto from nalanchirra to thampanoor 'n
managed to hire him the bus. we also said the conductor these things and
he accepted to carry over the situation.
when we came out the bus stand we realized the presence of 20 bucks with
us. which was sufficient to get two platform tickets at the kripa
theater.
'n had our movie feast there.
next day itself we returned another 20 rs. to the sisters. even today
i'm surprised of the things happened.
our state of mind, having not even a penny to spend....
the man beneath that tree.....
the thing which made us to halt....
the pleasing mind of those parents....
the hospitality of those sisters....
last but not the least,
that 20 bucks.....
today i 'r my friend may not be remembering his face but the way that
incidents took place is impeccable 'n immortal in our memories.
sujith.
